Established in 1993 by Sir John Beckwith and Mark Johnson, businesses founded by Pacific have gone on to manage over US$80 billion on behalf of institutions, wealth managers, family offices and individuals.
Alasdair joined Pacific in 2021 and is responsible for deal origination, investment appraisal and the ongoing investment management across the Group’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Pacific, Alasdair worked at Numis Securities where he spent over 5 years in the Investment Banking team advising clients in the Real Estate and Consumer sectors on M&A, capital raising and IPOs. Prior to this Alasdair worked in Management Consulting for two years. Alasdair holds a MSc in Management and Finance from University College London and a BA in History from Newcastle University.
Benedict joined Pacific in 2023 and is a Financial Controller in the Group finance team, responsible for Group reporting and monitoring. Prior to joining Pacific, Benedict qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2022 working within the audit team at Price Bailey.
Chris has worked in the financial services industry for many years : first in securities and then in asset management. He has chaired a FTSE 250 company and has worked and co invested with the Pacific Group since 1986.
Doug joined Pacific in 2000 and heads the Beckwith Family Office. Doug continues to co-manage Pacific’s private equity division, which focuses on the real estate and leisure sectors. He has been responsible all aspects of the portfolio, including investment structuring, management incentive schemes, acquisitions, disposals and fundraising.
Since joining Pacific, Doug has worked on numerous transactions including negotiating the disposal of a leading sports marketing business in the UK and India, the establishment of a number of asset backed leisure businesses in Europe and the acquisition and disposal of development land in Ireland. Prior to joining Pacific, Doug worked at Price Waterhouse where he became a Chartered Accountant specialising in corporate tax structuring.
Felix joined Pacific in 2019 and is a Financial Controller in the Group finance team, responsible for Group reporting and monitoring. While at Pacific, Felix has also worked on numerous transactions, including modelling Real Estate Investment funds, investment structuring, and corporate disposals. Prior to joining Pacific, Felix qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte, specialising in Investment Management and Private Equity audits.
Henry is responsible for the Asset Management & Financial Services division and takes an active role in deal origination and the management of the portfolio of companies. He has spent his whole career in asset management with a particular emphasis on the application of chaos theory to the derivatives and currency markets. In 2011 he became a founding shareholder of Zorin, a leading provider of alternative finance for the UK property market.
In 2012 he co-founded Argentex, Pacific’s foreign exchange specialist which now has annual turnover in excess of £10bn. In 2016 he became a founding partner of Pacific Asset Management, the core asset management business of the group. Henry is a graduate of Newcastle University and a member of both the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the Society of Technical Analysis.
Kalpana joined Pacific in 2007 and is responsible for corporate side of the business, as a senior accounts payable, bookkeeper, and cash management across multiple companies within the Pacific Group.
Prior to joining Pacific, Kalpana gained a wealth of experience within the accounting field, working for companies such as Aberdeen Steak Houses, WH Smith and Corporate AV. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Mumbai.
Mark Johnson co–founded Pacific Investments with Sir John Beckwith. Mark qualified as a lawyer before working in corporate finance at Barclays Merchant Bank and Barclays de Zoete Wedd. He was CEO of the Riverside Group, one of the UK’s leading leisure companies, under the chairmanship of Sir John, and oversaw its successful sale.
Mark is (and has been) a founding partner and shareholder/director of Pacific’s investment portfolio and private equity companies, including Liontrust Asset Management, Thames River Capital, Nevsky Capital, River & Mercantile Asset Management, Argentex, Barbican Healthcare, Sports and Outdoor Media, Pacific Asset Management, Urban Logistics REIT PLC, European Logistics Real Estate Partners and Engage Self Storage.
Mark has worked with Sir John for over 25 years.
Neil joined Pacific in May 2022 as Risk and Compliance Officer, with specific focus upon REIT regulatory compliance. Neil has over 30 years regulatory compliance experience in the investment management industry including through previous roles as Global Head of Compliance at both Aberdeen Asset Management and HSBC Global Asset Management, and mostly recently at Sustainable Development Capital LLP. Neil also worked at former regulatory body IMRO, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC.
Nicola is a director of Pacific Investments. She has worked in Sports marketing in both London and Australia, as well as in the leisure and beauty industries working with a team to build and create The Third Space and The Third Space Medical centre in London. Subsequent to this, she set up an online beauty company with Urban Retreat before having a family. In addition, she runs the Sir John Beckwith Charitable Settlement and is a director of a foundation for Cheam School. Over the years, Nicola has raised a large sum of money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Piers joined his family office, Pacific Investments in 2007 having successfully sold Media Run Group, an online advertising business where he was CEO for 3 years. While at Pacific, Piers has established three Real Estate businesses: Pacific and York Ltd (UK PRS), Red River USA LP (Miami based resi development) and Trinity River Developments (Dublin based resi development).
Piers is the CEO of Mortar Capital, the UK residential development arm of Pacific Investments and Puma Capital, an Iberian lending platform. Piers qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG in 2004.
Stuart Roberts is the Group Finance Director of Pacific, overseeing multi–jurisdictional reporting and tax compliance across all group companies and partnerships. In addition, he is responsible for corporate structuring and tax planning for all group transactions to ensure that returns are maximised to Pacific and management teams.
Stuart joined Pacific in 2003, prior to which he worked at Zurich Financial Services in their London insurance office reporting to the US and Switzerland. Stuart qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte & Touche where he worked in their Financial Institutions and Corporate Recovery departments. Before training as a Chartered Accountant, Stuart taught economics and politics at Merchant Taylors School, Northwood.
Tim joined the board of Pacific Investments as a non-executive director in 2020. He is also Chair of Pacific Asset Management. Tim has a portfolio of Chair roles across a range of sectors including financial services, business services, healthcare, technology and the arts. Apart from Pacific, these include being Chair of Centralis Group (the market-leading international provider of corporate services to some of the world’s leading corporations & financial institutions), Chair of Celsus (the UK’s leading supplier of clinical workforce solutions to the NHS), and Chair of the RSA (Royal Society of Arts).
Tim is former International Board Chair & Managing Partner at global professional services firm Taylor Wessing which he led through a period of transformational growth from 2009 to 2018.
Veronique joined Pacific in 2009 as the accountant for the Family Office and takes responsibility for the financial reporting on various private investments across the UK, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Pacific, Veronique worked at the Institute of Independent Business, a not for profit company.
