Pacific Investments announces the launch of its new real estate platform, Here Self Storage (hereselfstorage.co.uk) in partnership with Engage (thisisengage.co.uk).
Pacific Investments, a multi-billion dollar fund management group founded in 1990, brings a wealth of experience and a strong real estate track record having developed more than 6 million m2 of real estate globally.
Pacific Investments has partnered with Engage, a leading Self Storage management company, to deliver and run the platform. Founded by Mark van Adrichem and Anthony Adams in 2009, Engage has successfully launched and managed 1m sqft of storage space across multiple brands.
As part of the transaction, Dan Neary has joined Engage as a Partner to lead on the Real Estate strategy for Here Self Storage having previously worked with Engage to drive growth in the business. Alongside his long-standing colleague Julian Newiss, he was instrumental in facilitating the partnership.
Together, we plan to build a portfolio of both owned and managed self storage sites in the UK initially and then across Continental Europe, starting in Spain.
The first Here Self Storage facility is based in Loughborough and will open in August. The partnership aims to provide communities with access to simple, easy and local self storage space and will bring secure self storage solutions to consumers and businesses nationwide.
The Loughborough acquisition will take the number of owned and managed sites to over 20 sites with a further 10 properties in the near-term pipeline. Here Self Storage will target both new build and conversion opportunities.
Here Self Storage will have a strong ESG focus, and all stores will contribute positively to the local community. Here Self Storage’s commitment to fostering a culture of sustainability and innovation, including EV chargers and solar panels, represents a major advancement towards creating a greener, healthier community for generations to come.
