In 2005, Pacific formed a partnership with James Barham, former head of the Institutional Sales at Liontrust Asset Management PLC, to launch a new long only fund management business.

In March 2014 River & Mercantile merged with P-Solve Limited, a leading institutional adviser, to form the River & Mercantile Group. In June 2014 River & Mercantile Group listed on the London Stock Exchange. River & Mercantile currently has AUM of £33 Billion.
